OSOC (Nepal) visited Gorkha district, which was badly hit by the 2015 earthquake, to distribute food and building materials aid to children, families and a local school. The school was so badly damaged that it was at risk of demolition. With aid from OSOC the children can continue to receive education.
During the recent pandemic, OSOC Nepal supported street children and children in poverty by providing medical equipment and PPE.
In 2015. OSOC raised money for earthquake relief in Nepal. The funds raised supported the relief operation by assisting people who have migrated from earthquake devastation to Narayangarh, and for OSOC (Nepal) to purchase goods to take up into the hills to provide emergency relief.
We also have links through friends who are at present buying goods in Kathmandu and Pokhara and taking them up into the hills. The combined fund raising supported them by sending money to help them buy more goods to take to the affected villages. We have featured five people as they are actively supporting their communities with relief aid. The pictures on this page illustrate what they are doing and the help they are giving.
